Being we only meet once a week, a student must be able to demonstrate all basics to earn their Black / White belt. Students then have a year before they are eligible to test for Shodan, 1st Dg. Black Belt. During this time they will continue to work on the under belt forms and self defense drills.

Prepping for Black Belt

Students will start at White Belt and during their years of study will be going over basics. This includes everything up to Black Belt level. Every week we will be concentrating on a specific subject area and certain techniques. We will all be working on all basic skills, so rank advancements will come with time in grade and attendance as well as periodic review to move up in level. Upon being eligible to test for Black Belt, formal testing will be scheduled at least 3 months in advance. There will be a written test that has to be passed before testing for Black Belt.

After Black Belt

Students with advance ranks will be given extra training every other week in order to work on advance skills which will be required for  2nd Black Black Belt and up. Again students will review for belts when moving up a level such as beginner to intermediate then advanced. If students attend all classes and are not learning and showing improvement, they may not move up in rank at that time. Students will be required to participate and demonstrate what they are learning as they move along during their course of training.

AS A FINAL NOTE: No one will be given a Black Belt, All Black Belt Ranks will be earned through hard work and sweat.

Also, at no time will we ever charge any testing fees for rank advancements.
If a student wishes to buy a special belt upon moving up in the advance Black Belt ranks they may purchase them through the club.
